Jennifer Lopez Goes Topless in Only Underwear to Show Off Her Hair Transformation

Jennifer Lopez Reveals Blonde Barbarella Transformation in Behind-the-Scenes Halloween Photos

Jennifer Lopez brought retro science fiction glamour to Halloween with a Barbarella costume inspired by Jane Fonda—and her behind-the-scenes photos offered a closer look at the transformation.

The singer and actress traded her familiar brunette look for voluminous blonde hair, recreating the style associated with Fonda’s character in the 1968 film. Among the photos was a topless shot showing Lopez turned away from the camera, wearing low-rise underwear and holding an arm across her chest.

Other images focused on the costumes themselves. One outfit featured a distressed black bodysuit paired with a chainmail top and miniskirt, finished with silver bangles. Another recreated Barbarella’s futuristic style with a plunging white catsuit.

The tribute also carried a personal connection. Lopez and Fonda starred together in the 2005 comedy Monster-in-Law, and Lopez referenced their shared film while introducing her Halloween costume on Instagram. Her message celebrated Fonda as the original “SPACE ANGEL” and included an affectionate dedication to her former co-star.

The photos followed Lopez’s comments about the attention her revealing outfits receive. During a performance, she addressed people who question her wardrobe choices and suggest she should dress differently because of her age. Her response was characteristically cheeky, making clear that she feels confident showing off her figure.

Beyond the blonde hair and elaborate costumes, the shoot highlighted a friendship that has continued since Monster-in-Law.

Fonda has previously described that film as an important comeback after spending roughly 15 years away from acting. She credited the opportunity to work alongside Lopez with helping introduce her again to moviegoers, explaining that audiences drawn to her co-star would also rediscover her.

Lopez’s Halloween homage brought that connection full circle, celebrating one of Fonda’s most recognizable screen roles through her own interpretation of Barbarella’s futuristic fashion.
